GNSS constellations emit several signals on different bandwidths, dedicated to specific use cases and/or users. For instance, some bands are encrypted and only accessible for Defense of Military users, whereas some others are available for the public.

The advantage of using multiple GNSS bands to compute a position – from a single or from multiple constellations - is the amount of data available, resulting in better accuracy and/or precision of positioning.
