Controlled Radiation Pattern Antennas
Advanced Simulation and Receiver Solutions for Anti-Jamming, Anti-Spoofing, and Multi-Antenna Applications
Controlled Radiation Pattern Antenna (CRPA) technology is essential for contested GNSS environments. By dynamically shaping the antenna radiation pattern, CRPA enables improved signal integrity, beamforming, and anti-jamming and anti-spoofing protection.
Syntony GNSS provides a complete ecosystem for CRPA-related activities:
- Multi-channel GNSS simulation, supporting precise phase coherence and customizable test scenarios.
- High-resilience GNSS reception, designed to operate with CRPA arrays for demanding applications.
GNSS Simulators for CRPA Testing
The Constellator™ GNSS Simulator platform is Syntony’s reference solution for testing CRPA antennas and multi-channel receivers.
It offers:
- Multi-channel coherent RF outputs (4 to 16+ channels) for realistic CRPA testing.
- Precise phase accuracy and stability, enabling perfect simulation of beamforming and null-steering scenarios.
- Available for all GNSS constellations and frequencies, as well as jamming and spoofing simulations.
- Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) integration, with real-time control and automation features.
Constellator ODI featuring Keysight M9484C VXG
This configuration interfaces Syntony’s Constellator with Keysight’s VXG-C vector signal generator, delivering 4 phase-coherent RF outputs (up to 16+) over a 2.5 GHz bandwidth.
It offers exceptional signal purity and timing control, and it is ideal for complex CRPA testing scenarios, HiL setups, and advanced jamming/spoofing simulations.
Constellator CRPA 4 or 7 Channels
Designed and manufactured by Syntony, this standalone version of Constellator provides 4 or 7 phase-coherent RF outputs.
It offers a compact, cost-effective solution for CRPA simulation, combining flexibility, software-defined architecture, and compatibility with all GNSS signals and scenarios—including multi-antenna and spatial filtering tests.
CERBER - CRPA GNSS Receiver
CERBER is a high-performance GNSS receiver designed for use with multi-antenna arrays (4 or 7) and optimized for CRPA-based anti-jamming and anti-spoofing applications.
Uniquely on the market, it provides real-time estimation of the Direction of Arrival (DoA) of GNSS signals, enabling advanced spoofing detection and mitigation capabilities unmatched by any other receiver.
Key features include:
- CRPA support with real-time spatial filtering and beamforming.
- Anti-jamming: beamforming & null pointing, pulse blanking, mitigation > 100 dB J/S
- Anti-spoofing: GNSS DoA (Direction of Arrival) estimation with <2° accuracy (3σ)
- Autocalibration & attitude estimation
