Meet Syntony GNSS at Mondial Secours et Protection 2026, Safran’s Booth P22
From September 30 to October 3, 2026, Syntony will be at Rochexpo, in La Roche-sur-Foron, for the first edition of the Mondial Secours et Protection 2026. This new event combines the national congress of French firefighters, the safety and security professional show, and a public village dedicated to civil security. The team will be on Safran’s Booth #P22. There, visitors can meet fire services, civil security actors, and emergency response decision makers.
SubWAVE, Locating Responders Where GNSS Signals Cannot Reach
In tunnels, mines, and underground facilities, satellite signals cannot naturally get through. As a result, victims and responders are left without reliable positioning. SubWAVE, Syntony’s underground GNSS solution, solves this problem. It generates real GNSS signals underground, and standard GNSS receivers can compute them directly. Fire and rescue teams already carry these receivers, so no specialized equipment is needed. Additionally, receivers transition seamlessly between outdoor and underground positioning.
Proven in Real Rescue Scenarios
SubWAVE has already been demonstrated in operational conditions:
- At La Mine Bleue, near Angers, Syntony worked with SDMIS de Lyon and CS Group to film firefighters. SubWAVE tracked them in real time underground, using standard radios and the Réseau Radio du Futur
- During a large-scale exercise at a NATO air base, SubWAVE tracked responders underground in real-time. Meanwhile, military and civil security teams coordinated the response using standard GNSS receivers
A Live Debrief With SDMIS de Lyon
On the stand, Syntony will host a live retex (return of experience) of the large-scale emergency exercise conducted at a NATO air base. During this exercise, SubWAVE tracked 60 firefighters and 30 emergency vehicles underground in real time. Firefighters from SDMIS de Lyon took part, and they will be present to share their firsthand experience of underground GNSS tracking in the field.
